Raspy

I'm going on eight days now with this annoying cough. The result has my vocal cords shot so I can't talk longer than two minutes without my voice being reduced to a quiet rasp. Lower and lower it goes. It's husky and maybe even a little frightening. Answering the phone I feel like I should be either be playing a halloween prank or working for a 1-900 number...

I honestly sound like death. I'd like my voice to sound older than a preteen, but I'm not ready to sound like a ninety-two year old who's been smoking two packs a day since she was 16 if you know what I mean.

How embarrassing!
